2016 Training Calendar
The coming out of the 2016 training calendar
Forecasters are telling us that 2016 will be one of difficult year economically for South Africa. We have seen in the recent past the continued plummeting of the Rand against other currencies. The drought that has swept the region has also not spared us as we now have to pay more for basic foods. Eskom has also made a request to the Energy Regulator for a 16% increase in the electricity prices. In the end it is households that are on the firing front and will be taking the knock from all these adverse economic conditions. Social Housing Institutions can expect this year to see a rise in the number of households residing in their complexes falling in socio-economic difficulties. A lot of the negative effects of this on both the families and the SHI can be circumvented by good proactive tenant-landlord interactions. One of the focus we take in the offerings in our 2016 Training Calendar, is just on that – preparing SHIs for this new challenging dispensation that calls for a different set of skills and approach in handling tenant – landlord interactions. Why not join us at any of these events taking place in your region or at the training room at NASHO’s offices in Johannesburg.
