Yeast City Housing is a non profit company established by the Tshwane Leadership Foundation and its eight partner churches. Our mandate is to ensure decent, affordable housing, and to contribute to urban regeneration and social inclusion through well managed social housing.
We presently have 533 units under management in 12 projects. Initially we started with the provision of rooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens. These were specially for people on very low incomes and often with special needs for social support. We are now focusing on a greater mix of communal and self contained units for rental, at present to the subsidised market.
